What happens to existing developments?

We have developed a tool to provide a clear report of your whole system, including all developments. This enables you to make an informed decision on how much to take with you on your upgrade journey to Business Central.

When upgrading to Business Central with us, you can take your developments with you as extensions. This safeguards any future upgrades with minimal impact on effort and cost.

Existing Customisations Migration
What happens to existing data?

Ineffective data conversion is the number 1 cause of failed upgrades.

At Mercurius IT, we don’t just give templates and wish you luck. Just like with developments and customisations, your data is under your control.

There are 2 options available:

  • Start fresh and bring forward all the masters, opening balances, and open entries
  • Mercurius IT carries all your existing data to Business Central, including what’s in your development

No matter which option you choose, we will be with you for each step.

Existing Data Migration
Is training included?

To ensure your team can make the most of this new technology, we will train you on the new features of Business Central as part of the upgrade process.

You will be familiar with certain process in NAV, however, some of these are different in Business Central. We make sure your team knows how to complete these processes in a new way, so that efficiency is assured.

These different processes include but are not limited to:

  • Customer payment registration
  • Combine shipment
  • Dimension correction
Is the whole system upgraded?

How much time and effort would it take for you to upgrade each module of your system sequentially?

It isn’t enough to only upgrade small chunks of your system, especially since it’s crucial to have an end-to-end solution.
